MDC asking for Arbor Award of Excellence nominations


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation will be hosting an award ceremony for tree stewards across the state in March.

The Arbor Award of Excellence is an annual prize that recognizes organizations, institutions and individuals who have made significant efforts to care for trees in their area.

Community Forestry Program Supervisor Russel Hinnah told KXCV/KRNW that the Department of Conservation wishes to recognize these projects for the betterment of communities across the Show-Me state.

Hinnah says that anyone can nominate an organization or individual for the award. The deadline for nominations is March 6. For more information about the Arbor Award of Excellence, visit mdc.mo.gov.
